FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can the Evolution Touchtile sensor tile be installed into a wall with other tiles?
A. No. The Touchtile sensor tile needs to be easily removable in case it needs repair or replacement. Also, the audio feedback would not be heard.
Q. Can the water control unit be installed under a bath?
A. It’s not recommended since it must be mounted onto a wall. So there may be not enough room for connections to the pipes.
Q. What happens if the hot and cold water input connections are connected the wrong way around?
A. When the shower is turned on, only hot water would come first instead of cold, followed eventually by cold. This could result in a scalding temperature detection which will shut down the water control unit once detected. If the hot water is not hot enough for scalding detection, the shower will only output cold water.
Q. Does the Evolution Shower have scalding protection?
A. Yes, scalding detection is a standard feature. The shower will automatically turn off water flow and announce the problem through the Touchtile sensor tile.
Q. Can the voice be turned off?
A. Yes, by entering the Clean mode the voice can be disabled leaving just the beeps when a button is pressed.
Q. What happens when there is a power failure?
A. The water control unit will detect the loss of power, and then utilise its power reserves to turn off the flow of water. This will also be announced through the Touchtile sensor tile.
